Hotel La Rica by RedDoorz

I stayed twice within a week, so it worked well enough for me, and I’d come back. I booked at a discount through Agoda app. It’s a budget hotel with a good location, easy to find, about 20 minutes from Tacloban Airport, or P22 by jeepney. Jollibee Dowtown Tacloban is just a few steps away, and SM Savemore, McDonalds, the ferry port, and van transfers are only meters away. The rooms aren’t flashy, but they’re reasonably clean and comfortable. The old window AC units are noisy, though they cool the rooms adequately. Bathrooms are okay, with decent water pressure, a bidet, and a working heater. Staff were helpful, honest, and informative. Wi-Fi was fast enough to stream movies and uses two providers. The TV is old, but at least it’s a flat screen.

The staff were really accommodating, and I loved staying here. It’s in a very accessible downtown spot near sm savemore tacloban. This place was awesome for me.

I booked this place for my relatives through Reddoorz, and they checked out right away without a second thought. The place was terrible, seemed unsanitized, and had a noticeable foul smell. Staff weren’t helpful at all, and Reddoorz doesn’t give refunds. Worst service!

Good location, decent budget hotel, and the staff were excellent.
