The carmelence place by cerilos

We weren’t staying at the hotel, but we tried the newly opened tapas bar and loved it. It’s tucked away a little, with a great atmosphere, very friendly service, and really good food. The modern Spanish cooking stands out from other restaurants. We give it the five stars it deserves.

The view was breathtaking, surrounded by nature, and we had a great overall experience. The older rooms were comfortable, though their tub didn’t work, so we couldn’t enjoy it. If the tub matters, I’d suggest the Murano room instead. We also found bugs in the bed, so check carefully before sleeping and have bug spray ready. I wouldn’t walk outside here. It gets pretty dark on their side of the road, and crossing feels dangerous.

We had a good breakfast, especially the brewed coffee, and the staff were kind and accommodating. There’s enough parking, pets can roam on leash, and it’s a good location, though weekend traffic can be awful. I’d come on a weekday. This is the only hotel I know in Tagaytay that accepts big pet dogs. The grounds aren’t as large as the photos suggest. Our room smelled, and I’d replace the bedding. To furparents, please teach your pets not to pee on the bed. We had a scented candle someone had given us, and it helped with the smell.

The room was clean, nothing special, but everything worked properly. The place felt cozy, homey, and quaint, with lots of green space for people traveling with dogs to run around. The staff made the stay. They greeted us when we arrived, brought breakfast on time, and were polite, attentive, and helpful throughout. Easily a 10/10 for service.
