Twin Tides Resort

The location is in the tourist center, and there’s parking available. Rooms are okay and the complimentary breakfast is good. The pool wasn’t functioning, but otherwise everything was fine. I’ll definitely be back for more.

It’s a nice, well-located hotel, but the price feels too high for what you get. The towels are very old and yellowish, and breakfast is poor and limited. The staff are nice, though the owner’s miserly policies spoil the rest. They take advantage of Panglao to charge London prices!

My family had a great stay at Twin Tides. Alona beach is just a 3-5 minute walk away, and the location is handy for restaurants, pharmacies, and marts. There’s always a tricab waiting in front of the hotel if you need a ride. The rooms were clean and had a complete set of towels, though the breakfast choices were limited.

The staff were the reason I changed my review after three days. They were super helpful and friendly: they packed breakfast for us, cut fruit we’d bought outside, and opened the doors whenever we needed. The pool was good, and the location is central with many good restaurants nearby. For the money, I’d stay again for the staff alone. The facilities are more like 2-3 stars. The air conditioning cools the room for Philippine summer temperatures, but you have to leave it running continuously. There’s no elevator for taking bags upstairs, and the Wi-Fi is just okay by Philippine standards.
