Hotel Premier Inn

The location made it easy to get around, with shops and transport nearby, though the area was busy and somewhat noisy. I found the room clean, basic, and comfortable enough for a short budget stay at this Hotel Premier Inn Davis Road. The staff were helpful and cooperative. A decent budget option with good service and an average location.

The rooms and bedding were good, and the winter blankets were just right. The bathroom, though, was small, had no mirror, a broken tap, and no hooks for clothes. The Wi-Fi was so slow it was barely usable. The bigger issue was the staff and management. Before booking, I asked two or three times if hot water had set hours. The manager assured me the electric geysers were working perfectly and that hot water and Wi-Fi were available 24/7. In reality, hot water was only available in the morning. Since we were out visiting and came back in the evening, there was none. Staff kept making excuses about gas, electricity, or air in the pump. One day the manager rudely asked why I hadn't checked for hot water before booking, which made no sense. Their claims were false, and the staff came across as rude, manipulative, and always trying to bluff us. The owner should change the staff.

They asked for an extra 1000 at departure, saying they had paid commission to booking.com. Security was poor too: the lock didn't work, and they said the cameras would provide security. Please don't waste your money here. Extremely poor.

There was no elevator, and the only rooms available were on the first and second floors. That was especially difficult because I was traveling with my father, who was a patient, and we had wanted a ground floor room. We came in winter for a routine medical checkup and chose this place because there wasn't another good, affordable hotel nearby. The room was a reasonable size, the beds were okay, and the attached toilet was clean enough. But traffic noise went on all night, as if we were sleeping beside a busy intersection, with bikes and trucks passing. I barely managed three hours of sleep. Maybe fans would help in summer, but in winter it was unbearable. Room service was also terrible. I had to call at least three times, and the extra mattress they brought was wet. I don't know if it was water or a previous owner's urine. They changed it right away when I reported it. Warm water was only available from 5am to 12 noon, for some reason. Breakfast was light but good. I'd only stay here if I had no other choice or was on a very tight budget.
