Hotel The Holiday

That was my worst experience. The rooms were dirty, with bugs all over, and the bedsheets weren't clean. Room service was pathetic, the internet didn't work, and neither did the TV cable. Staff weren't cooperative, and the food was awful. The Gulberg location was a little okay. Apart from that, the place was total crap.

I was so exhausted that leaving after an hour and driving all the way to Islamabad without any rest was awful. But after what I found in the room, I couldn't stay. At midnight, there were cockroaches and other insects crawling on the bed. The floor and furniture were dusty, and the bathroom was unhygienic. For a budget hotel, the cleanliness and service were still nowhere near basic standards. I complained at the front desk and messaged the owner. Nobody called back, apologized, or took action. I felt cheated and disrespected, and the experience was appalling. In my view, hotels that take guests' money while providing unhygienic, substandard facilities damage the whole tourism and hospitality industry. I hope the Ministry of Tourism and relevant authorities take notice and hold places like this accountable for negligence and malpractice. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone under any circumstances. In my experience, it's one of the worst places to stay, and guests should stay away.

Would recommend it for aftari, though I'm not sure if I just had a zam zam ?

The convenient location was a plus, but my stay at Grand Al-Fateh Hotel in October 2024 was disappointing. The room wasn't clean and had insects, including cockroaches. The bathroom was in poor shape too, with a broken vanity. Overall, it fell far short of satisfactory.
