Coming back after a long day out to the quiet of Serene Guest House was a treat. It’s set among Skardu’s mountain scenery, with peaceful views and easy access to many local attractions. The owners welcomed me warmly and were thoughtful throughout, helping with travel plans and sharing their knowledge of the area. The guest house was spotless. My room was well arranged and maintained, with fresh linen and a clean bathroom, and the shared spaces were tidy too. Cleanliness clearly mattered here, which helped me feel comfortable. Breakfast was simple but delicious, served with a smile. Between the calm setting, fresh mountain air, and kindness of the owners, it felt more like staying with family than at a guest house. Serene Guest House is clean and comfortable, and I’d recommend it to travelers visiting northern Pakistan. I hope to return.

The cooks made really tasty meals, and the staff were great, always going out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. The rooms were super comfy and clean too. Serene Guest House gets a solid five stars from me as a place to stay in Skardu.

I spent three nights here and found the staff very welcoming and quick to respond. During the cold December weather in Skardu, I was surprised to have hot water available around the clock. If you’re after a comfortable stay for a fraction of the usual price, this is a great option.

I spent one night at Serene Guest House and found the accommodation clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff made me feel like a valued guest, and dinner at the restaurant was a pleasure. The central location was convenient for exploring the city. They also had hot and cold water, tea and coffee, and their special “Tumbruck kahwa.” It was a memorable stay, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone wanting a welcoming, luxurious place to stay.

The cook was really good, and the food I had was the tastiest. As for the guest house, it’s very basic. The ground floor rooms were in rough shape. It could work as a cheap room for just a few hours.
