Antique Apartments Old Town

The apartment was spacious compared with a hotel room, with a huge bathroom and plenty of equipment. It's in a great spot: quieter than the main square but still only a 22-minute walk away. There are also a few nice bars and restaurants within 50m, and they're cheaper than the places on the square. I'd definitely recommend it.

The included breakfast was very good, served to the room any time from 8am to 1pm, and the location made all the key attractions walkable. The service was quick and responsive. The apartments have an elegant, bright old-world charm. The sofa was very soft, but the firm bed was good for my back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and all those stairs gave us some good cardio. There are some things to know before booking. There are no elevators, and each staircase between floors has 26 steps because of the high ceilings. You have to carry your own luggage, with no help available, so this won't work if you're in poor health and can't manage the stairs, with or without bags. These are old buildings and the rooms aren't well insulated, so expect them to feel cold. The washing machine has no dryer, and air-drying clothes is inconvenient in winter. Thick items can take two days to dry. The washroom is across the living room, separate from the bedroom, which is inconvenient if you're older and need to get up to pee at night.

The reception lady was lovely and explained everything clearly. The location couldn't have been better, and the apartment was clean and tidy, probably the best city apartment I've stayed in over the years. I write both good and bad reviews honestly, since I usually read reviews before booking. I'd come back in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone visiting Krakow.

We couldn't work out the heating, so it got a bit cold at night. An extra layer in bed sorted that out. The apartments are fabulous and close to the centre, and ours had everything we needed, including a washing machine and dishwasher. It comfortably slept five, and you could easily fit seven. The staff were friendly and helpful. They arranged Ubers whenever we needed them and let us into the apartment early when we arrived mid-morning. I'd definitely come back.
