Cracow Fancy Brick #5 - Old Town

The heating and lighting were both a problem. Central heating and the bathroom heater didn't work, and the lamps flickered and barely lit the place. Even with two heaters running at full power, the apartment stayed freezing, with cold air coming through the brick wall and windows. As soon as we switched them off, it got cold again within minutes. At night it was so cold that breathing was difficult. My child woke up sick, and after just one night I had a sore throat and ear pain. The apartment also felt neglected and hadn't been cleaned properly. There was thick dust on the lamps and dirt on the decorative lights by the bed. Communication with the host was dismissive and passive-aggressive. Rather than acknowledge the obvious problems, he blamed us and questioned whether we'd used the switches correctly. He didn't offer help, a fix, or even basic respect. We had booked and paid for three nights, but left after the first because staying felt impossible and unsafe. The drafts, lack of working heat, cold, faulty equipment, poor cleanliness, and hostile communication made it unsuitable, especially with a child. We lost our money and had to urgently rent somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend this property. Save yourself the stress and choose another place.
