The view of the Vistula river from our room was wonderful, and we also enjoyed a visit to the museum. At the store we picked up local bread, beer and jam, and everything we've tried has been great. The breakfast is a simple buffet, just so you know what to expect. My wife and I loved our stay at this Abbey, the oldest Benedictine monastery in Poland. We were able to join the monks for the Liturgy of the Hours, which was a lovely experience. Monica gave us a great guided tour, sharing the Abbey's history and stories about the monks and their work. Alongside evangelizing, some make craft beer, which was delicious. We'd highly recommend staying here.

I was glad to spend time in this beautiful, spiritual place. The Benedictine Abbey and Community is very much what you'd expect a monastery to be. The mattresses and bedding, though, are badly worn and need urgent replacement. The women working in the kitchen, housekeeping and reception were all friendly and discreet. Many thanks.

Ask for a room facing the river if you can, the sunrise and sunset views are amazing. The rooms are extremely clean, and the bedding is ancient, which I actually love. The welcome desk lady spoke English well, so everything was easy to communicate. They give you the Abbey schedule, including lunch and dinner times. I'd book lunch, it was better than dinner. The place felt authentic, calm, cheap and welcoming, and everything went smoothly. I'd especially recommend it to solo travelers and couples, though it might not be very convenient for families.

The reception was helpful, and the place itself was very nice. The rooms and equipment were clean, simple and nice. The mattress wasn't great, but the evening meal and breakfast were simple and high quality. Recommendable overall.
