New Port Hotel

The rooms were amazing, very clean and tidy. A higher ceiling and bed would have been nice, but the building size makes that hard to change. In Room 13, the air-conditioning unit was noisy. One evening I had to wait about 20 minutes for the hot water to heat up, just to take a 2 minute shower. You can't park nearby, so we had to carry our cases down the stairs to the river. The square is about a 15-20 minute walk away, and the place feels a little removed from the main attractions.

The river and city views were beautiful, and they even gave us bird food for the ducks and swans that came by. The breakfast was decent, though nothing special. It's near the center and a tram stop, so if you want a special stay with a nice view, it's a good option. We spent a weekend here and had a really good experience. Everything was clean and nice, and the staff were very friendly.

The breakfast was a little disappointing. The eggs weren't cooked very well and had little taste, and there wasn't much choice, though there was enough. We were also bothered by the neighbors in the next room, who kept going out to smoke on the terrace until morning. That's not the hotel's fault. Still, it was a great stay in a nice hotel with an amazing view. Special praise for the young man at reception, who was pleasant, smiling, and helpful.

We stayed in one of the little boats on the river, and the room was lovely and warm, which was especially nice in November. Check-in was easy, and they reassured us that getting help with anything wouldn't be a problem. There was a small minibar in the room and seating on the patio.
