Hostel Mleczarnia

The location is convenient, about a 5-10 minute walk from city hall, and there’s a free hairdryer in the common areas. The hostel is one large room with twelve beds. Each bed has a charging socket, but there are no bedside lamps and no Wi-Fi. Men’s and women’s bathrooms are separate, with one toilet and two showers each; there was a reasonable amount of hot water. Towels aren’t provided. Everyone gets a small locker with a key, though it only fits a 25-liter backpack. The shared kitchen is free to use and has an induction cooker, kettle, and microwave, plus self-serve coffee and tea.

A nice atmosphere, with a sweet dog at the property and old-style rooms and lounge. It’s within budget for travelers, and you can walk to almost all the nearby sights.

The wooden interiors are very cozy, and the light-filled common room feels like an eclectic atrium. The bathrooms were clean. I’d stay here again if I ever needed to.

For what it costs, I’d give this hostel five stars. The rooms and facilities are basic, but it felt a bit like staying at a nice old auntie’s house. There’s a big, cute dog on the premises, so it won’t suit you if you’re allergic. The main downside was noise from people at the bar downstairs, which the hostel can’t really control. It’s fine for one night, and for a longer stay I think earplugs and a sleep mask would help.
