One Lucky Hostel - Old Town

For the price, you get quite a lot here, so it’s worth weighing that before judging. I already knew the toilets and showers were shared, and the hostel was pretty clean. The beds were good, there were enough outlets, and having a kettle and a big fridge was a real plus. I just wish the kitchen had tea or coffee, and there was a shared room to hang out in before check-in or after checkout.

It’s clean and in a great spot, about 250 meters from the old town. The reception staff speak English and Polish. Toilets and showers are separate, but there’s no lift, and you’ll need to bring your own towel and cooking utensils.

The bathroom was moldy-smelling throughout our stay, and the shower barely produced a thin trickle of lukewarm water. There were only two showers and toilets for the whole floor, and the walls were so thin we could hear the neighbors’ every word. The beds creaked with the slightest movement. On top of all that, our room had a bed bug infestation (PLUSKWY, for Polish people reading this). Reviews here and on Facebook suggest we weren’t the first guests to run into that. Even without the bugs, we wouldn’t have chosen this hostel again. The price isn’t worth the experience. This was by far the worst place I’ve stayed. Other hostels cost only a little more and are also in an excellent location, so pick somewhere else.

The rooms were clean and nice, but the walls seemed paper-thin. There was no hot water in the evening, and the blinds on the bathroom windows didn’t close all the way, so the showers and toilets lacked full privacy.
