Liberta Inn

Breakfast was the standout: there was a huge selection of teas and four kinds of coffee, juice, cold meats, pickled fish, cheese, eggs, cakes, cereal and fruit. You could also get eggs freshly cooked, and the service always came with a smile. It’s a great spot for a winter break. Our recently refurbished apartment had two bedrooms and its own well-equipped bathroom. Right beside it was a shared kitchen with plenty of room and everything needed for a quick snack or a full meal. Liberta Inn is a gem, just a short walk from the main street, where there are restaurants, jewellery and sports shops, and amazing cakes. The main ski slope is close if you follow the owner’s shortcut.

We had everything we needed in our clean, simple room, including a mini fridge. The location was great for walking to Gubalowka and Krupowki. The owner was friendly and helpful, offered to get us genuine oscypki, and was easy to reach by phone or email. Good value for money, and we had a great stay at Liberta Inn.

My activity bracelet gave me a perfect sleep score, which I don’t think has ever happened away from home before. I did wake up fairly early, though, since the room had no curtains. There’s a shared kitchen, and my room was okay. The location felt a bit in the middle of nowhere, and check-out at 10:00 was a little early.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good. The value for the price still wasn’t great. The bathrooms, furniture and bedding all felt worn, and free Wi-Fi never seemed to work. There was no fan or cooling, either of which would have made the stay more pleasant.
