Willa Ornak

The location works really well for me. It’s on a quiet side street, a little over 1km from the train station, close to Krupówki Street for food, and there are grocery shops and a bus stop nearby. I get to Zakopane by train, and I still have a few peaks to conquer, so I’m hoping to return in 2026. If there’s a room free, I won’t need to look elsewhere. I’ve stayed at Villa Ornak for three years, though I couldn’t make it in 2025. The single rooms are a big plus since they can be hard to find, even if these are right at the top of the building and my legs are worn out after a long hike. The rooms are standard, with a bed, dresser, TV and bathroom, plus a kitchenette outside. The building is always clean. The owner is warm and likes to chat, suggest places to see, and ask about my hiking plans. There’s also a kitten wandering around the yard.

From the terrace you can see Giewont on one side and Gubałówka on the other, and Krupówki Street is only a short walk away. It may be central, but the street itself is quiet, and the stay is affordable. The place isn’t modern, though it has what you need: a large, bright room, a huge terrace, comfortable beds, clean towels, a kitchen and a bathroom. After my late arrival, everything was ready as agreed. The owner also gave me clear, useful information on the phone. I recommend it, recommend it, recommend it.

A really handy base for the city and hiking trails, with spacious, clean rooms and very friendly service. We stayed September 3-9/09 and paid a very reasonable price. This has been one of my best stays in Zakopane. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it if you want somewhere comfortable where you can properly relax.

The room was clean, the owner was lovely, and the location is fantastic. The interior isn’t especially modern, but when I’m going to the mountains I just want a good night’s sleep, not marble bathrooms. The price was very reasonable for the area. I highly recommend it.
