Jochymówka Zakopane

New Year's Eve in the clearing was pure magic, with a bonfire, a lovely atmosphere, and views over the lights of Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains. It felt like a fairytale, and we’ll remember it for a long time. Jochymówka Zakopane has a real soul. The host welcomed us with so much warmth that we felt at home straight away. You can see the care and creativity she puts into every part of the stay. I wholeheartedly recommend it, and would love to come back.

The owner was lovely and took the time to show us around and explain everything. It was also a great spot for getting around, with public transport and a bus stop nearby. The cottage and rooms were okay, and I’d give the vacation a 4+ overall. We had breakfast there, though, and the kitchen counter was too small for us. There was also an unpleasant smell from the toilet, which I think may have been a sewer leak.

The people managing the place were wonderful, friendly and ready to help make guests comfortable. It’s also well placed, close to Zakopane’s center as well as the mountain trails. Definitely recommend staying here.

The apartment worked well for five of us for a few days. We had two separate bedrooms, two double beds and a single, and the mattresses were comfortable. It was clean, with pleasant highland-style décor and a kitchen. There isn’t much counter space, so dinner takes some effort, though it’s manageable and breakfast is easy. It’s outside the center, but Krupówki Street is still a 15-minute walk away. Chałupa Gąsieniców, the Tatra Museum, is just behind the fence, and there’s a shop across the road.
