The staff were great, and when I talked with them about the awful chips and dips, they listened and took the charge off the bill. Still, the bar food and service need to be better. The hotel is showing its age, though golfers will like having the course right next door. I missed the chance to play because of a torrential storm on the day I planned to go. Breakfast was okay, with buffet-style eggs, bacon, ham, and the usual things. Not bad, not great. I'd say this is a four-star hotel, barely, and worth the price at that level, but it's not five-star.

We made good use of the free activities, including paddle boarding and the golf driving range, which our family could do at no charge. Management was helpful, and the rooms were very clean and thoughtfully laid out. Another nice extra is access to the boutique hotel at the other end of the grounds. Breakfast was very good, and the air conditioning worked well in summer. The staff were friendly, especially the breakfast host, always smiling and joking. It's well located, and an inexpensive Bolt ride gets you to Caiscais.

The restaurant and bar staff were excellent, especially Guillermo, who looked after us at breakfast and was very polite. The golf course and scenery were lovely and well kept. The hotel itself is basic, and the air conditioning in the rooms didn't work. Towels and robes weren't always replaced after cleaning. One day the water stopped working in our room. Reception told my wife and our 18-month-old to use another room where our family was staying, though they could have offered us a room while repairs were underway.

It had very little charm, and while the location was okay, there wasn't anything interesting around the hotel. This is four stars at most. They don't offer amenities, not even water, apart from one complimentary bottle. There's no water station, and it feels like you have to pay for everything. At breakfast they give you a tiny glass, so it feels as if they're making sure you dehydrate. Don't choose this hotel; you'd be better off at some random three-star place.

The staff were very courteous, and breakfast had plenty of options. Our room was bright, with clean, crisp bed linen.
