It's on a fairly quiet main street, close to all the city's landmarks. A clean, well-stocked apartment and a great base for exploring Évora.

A lovely apartment for two, with all the essentials and close to the city.

It was awful. A woman was arguing with people both out on the street and inside. She seemed to be an elderly woman with problems, and the whole thing ruined our day. She spent an hour speaking Portuguese with someone from Booking.com, then we got a message saying we'd broken the contract. It was bizarre. We went to the tourist office, and the next day she was fined and threatened with closure unless she could prove her AL status.

We loved the house, from the layout and lighting to the embroidered towels and sheets. It's an old, charming place at street level in Évora's old town, thoughtfully renovated to be modern, comfortable, and well equipped. The owner welcomed us on our first day and gave us lots of precise, helpful information, clearly with real affection for her city. There was also a parking space included, a four-minute walk away. I booked through Booking.com but didn't get a chance to review it there, so I'm sharing this here. A wonderful base for seeing Évora and the surrounding area.
