Inside the apartment it’s peaceful and quiet, and very, very clean. Everything you need is there, and the host was friendly and focused on good service. Step outside and you’re straight into Alfama’s rich historic area. Beautiful, magical surroundings, with each stone carrying stories, told and untold, all competing for your attention. Take your time and walk slowly.

The room was spacious and clean, with a kitchen, dining area, and bedroom. There’s a fado restaurant right by the apartment entrance, so dinner and wine are only four steps from bed. A great place to stay in Alfama.

The location was spot on, and the accommodation was spotless. Open the window and you can hear Fado singing outside. Marisa and Luis left us a bottle of wine, and from the first moment they made us feel like friends. Such warm Portuguese hospitality. Highly recommend.
