The view was amazing, and my room had a good amount of space. The other guests were nice, the location was good, and the shared kitchen was decent. There were rooms to sleep in and showers, which is why I gave the “hotel” 2 stars. Still, it doesn't feel worth the price unless you're on a strict budget. The basics were disappointing. Breakfast was bland and limited to things like bread, vegetables, juice, milk, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, and a few other plain items. Several towels had lots of pink spots and looked dirty. The drinking water staff gave us tasted like chlorinated tap water. I could hear people talking in their rooms, and the beds were stiff and uncomfortable. The staff weren't very kind or quiet, and the Guest House key didn't even work. The owner was in UAE, trying to control “everything” from there, which didn't seem ideal.

The location is very good, and the housekeeper was friendly. The room was nice but didn't block much sound, so I could hear the housekeeper watching videos. That's not a problem by itself, but it was annoying that they played them loudly through the phone speakers instead of using headphones. I wouldn't choose the breakfast option: it was bland and had no variety.

The place was being painted, and there were lots of workers around. It stank of paint, so I don't think it should be open during painting. Not everyone can tolerate that smell, and I lost my money even though the place wasn't suitable. I strongly discourage anyone from staying here. I left severely disappointed and insulted. On arrival, the intercom was all taped up and looked broken. I was more or less expected to take a taxi, which cost me money I hadn't wanted to spend, and the place was a long way from the bus station. The woman who met me was unbelievably rude. She shouted that she'd been there since 7am, as if that were my fault. I told Mohammed she spoke to me like an animal; an animal would've got more respect. It was so distasteful for a paying guest, and I was traumatised. She also demanded my passport. Luckily I had a photo of it, but by then I wanted to leave immediately because I felt like an inconvenience. Steer clear.

The price and location are very good. The main issue was morning noise: the house lady or ladies watched videos without headphones and called their friends quite loudly.
