Dom Carlos Liberty Hotel

Apart from the small, noisy rooms, we had a pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was nice. We had an early flight and asked for breakfast boxes, but they didn’t include any water, even though we asked for it.

The breakfast spread was lovely, but when we went down at 8.30 the dining room was full and we had to wait for someone to leave before we could sit. The room itself was lovely, though both lifts were broken when we arrived, so we had to take the stairs to the fifth floor. There was an espresso machine with four coffee pods and sugar, but no milk or creamer. We were told we had to pay for milk, and for any extra pods too. They said the rule was on their website, but I booked through booking.com and couldn’t find anything about it there. My partner also complained that a dirty pillowcase had been left on our windowsill for two days. The receptionist said it wasn’t her problem and was housekeeping’s issue. Reception is the first place to take a complaint in every other hotel I’ve stayed in.

The hotel feels a little dated, but it was very clean and the service was good. Our room was roomy enough, quiet, and cleaned on time. Breakfast was included and really good, with plenty of choices. The location was good too.

The service was exceptional. The staff were polite and ready to help whenever we needed something. Our room was a little small but very clean. We were only there for one night and didn’t have breakfast included since we were leaving very early. The location is a bit away from the busy tourist areas, which worked perfectly for us because the rental.company is nearby.
