Our experience was bad. Just 15 days before we were due to arrive in Lisbon, they emailed to say the apartment was no longer available, even though we’d paid part of the cost as agreed and had received confirmation. The manager offered another apartment for the same price, but it was much worse. Luckily, we’d booked through shelter and got our money back. We were still left scrambling to find somewhere reasonably priced with only 15 days to go. I really wouldn’t recommend them. Avoid.

There’s a decent place in here somewhere, but it needs a lot of repair and renovation. The washing machine and humidifier didn’t work, even though the building is very humid. The entrance and locks felt unstable, and the bathroom wasn’t properly clean. The main shower head was missing its attachment, and the shower door wouldn’t close all the way, so the bathroom basically flooded. Our stay was mediocre at best, and the price is too high for what’s offered.

Alfama Studio is a lovely, colorful apartment with elegant decor, about 200 meters from the river. It’s a great spot for walks along the river and for getting to the main sights. Bus, train, and metro stations are nearby, too. The studio has a fully equipped kitchenette, as do the bedrooms. There are lots of restaurants and cafes in this tourist area where you can try local food.
