Jardim da Lapa by Shiadu

We especially liked how calm it was at Hotel Jardim da Lapa by Shiadu. It's in a quiet part of Lisbon, but the city's attractions are still easy to reach. Our room was clean, tidy and comfortable, and breakfast was fresh and tasty each morning. The staff were warm, professional and always ready to help. A few little things could be improved. The mini-fridge sits in a cupboard below the safe, and items stored above it tended to get warm. Tea would be nicer with powdered or UHT milk sachets, and a small bar of soap in the shower would be useful. It was a peaceful, pleasant visit, and I'd happily stay here again or recommend it to other people visiting Lisbon.

The breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully served, and everyone I met on the staff was so polite and attentive. Hotel Jardim da Lapa by Shiadu has a warm feel, and I couldn't think of a single thing to complain about. I'd gladly come back, and highly recommend it.

Getting around was easy, with public transport close by and a supermarket nearby. The staff were welcoming and went out of their way to make me comfortable from the moment I arrived. My room was small, but the bed was great and the walk-in shower was roomy. Breakfast had a good selection, with fresh things to start the day. One drawback was that my room was beside the service area, which wasn't a very attractive view. I noticed it more because I checked in early and checked out late, though it didn't spoil a very positive stay. I'd happily return.

The historic building has lots of charming details, and the whole little hotel is a relaxing place to stay. The service was excellent, with everyone making an effort to keep things pleasant. I'd gladly come back.
