The laid-back feel, striking decor, and location were all great, and the staff were lovely. But our room was extremely noisy all night, with traffic and people outside as well as clattering cutlery and cooking or banging from the kitchen inside. During the day, we couldn't really open the windows because of the car pollution smell.

The host was nice, and the rooms were good. Breakfast costs extra, but it was good. You're right by one of Lisbon's best viewpoints, and very close to Martin moniz too, so take a bit of care there at night.

I was furious about how this went. It was raining in Lisbon, and after getting lost among Alfama's winding roads and dead ends, I finally reached this hostel, which is far from the transport stop. At 10:35, the receptionist told me the last check-in time had been 10 and that I'd have to pay another 10 euros to stay. It felt greedy, and I still don't know if that was legal. I left, but Agoda wouldn't let me cancel, so I had to pay the full amount anyway. There wasn't another hostel nearby, it was already so late, and I ended up sleeping outside like a homeless person. I've stayed angry about the way the owner treated me, and I hope the owner is condemned someday. This was the worst hostel experience of my life. Don't consider staying here.

The staff were genuinely friendly and helped us make the most of Lisbon. We felt at home, and the atmosphere was great. Breakfast, Wi-Fi, a computer with internet, and table football were all free. Just a few meters from one of the best views over Lisbon, with plenty of shops, supermarkets, coffee shops, bars, and traditional restaurants nearby. Thanks for everything.

In Gracia/Alfama, it's a quiet neighborhood, and there's good food next door. The bar up the street wanted 6e for a beer, so I walked out. The restaurant right beside the place was friendly and had good traditional food.
