6/10
We were fine with the area, though it felt a bit rundown and there was garbage spilling into the street leading to the apartment. Inside, the place was reasonably clean and comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen and a washing machine. The bed setup was less comfortable: the two single mattresses slid apart overnight, and the duvets had no covers, which didn’t seem hygienic.

The staff were kind and helpful, and we were very happy with our stay. The apartment was clean and comfortable, about a 15-20 minute walk from downtown. The metro, restaurants, and a supermarket were all around five minutes away.

The apartment was clean and spacious for four, with a huge bathroom, clean sheets, and decent heating. There’s a functional kitchen, so we cooked with groceries from nearby shops. The host was reachable. It’s close to bus, tram, and metro stops, as well as Alfama district, Martin Moniz, and Restauradores. I’d definitely recommend it.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this place was so clean and nice inside that I had to. We travel a lot and stay in plenty of hotels and Airbnbs, and this was the cleanest one. It had everything we needed. Check-in was a bit of a hiccup, so I’d call ahead to let them know you’re coming and make sure someone can meet you. The outside isn’t especially attractive, but don’t let that put you off. I’d recommend staying here and would come back.

The hostess was warmly welcoming, and the place felt homey, tidy, and clean, with all the household utensils provided. Just be aware of the stairs if you’re staying on the first or second floor, especially with heavy luggage.
