We stayed in a private hostel room and had a great time. It was very clean and comfortable, the shared washrooms served three or four rooms and were clean, and breakfast was great. My husband got the flu, and I’m grateful to the front desk for looking after him. We booked an extra night at the last minute, and they managed to keep us in the same room, so we didn’t have to move or repack. They kindly offered medicine, a thermometer, and warm winter blankets. This was in early June, so they had to dig around to find the winter things. We’d recommend this hostel without hesitation.

We liked the quiet outdoor space, friendly staff, and location, close to attractions but still peaceful. Our private room had a shared bathroom with two showers and three toilets for three rooms. Breakfast had few gluten-free choices. There was gluten-free bread on the first morning but none the next day, so I ate yogurt with fruit and oats I’d brought. Still, it’s a great accommodation option in Lisbon.

The view was fantastic, and the place is close to the train station for Cascais, as well as good restaurants and cafés. Julio at reception was really nice and helpful. The bathrooms could get very dirty from other guests, and I didn’t see them cleaned every day. I suppose it depends on who’s staying there.

The hostel and Manager Maria were wonderful and really looked after their guests. I left my childhood stuffed animal there, and Maria kept in touch with me for three weeks to make sure she could get it back to me in the US. I’m so grateful!

I have a painful knee injury, but when I checked in, the man at reception refused to move me to a bottom bunk. He made it seem complicated even though I saw empty bottom bunks in my room. He was unfriendly from the start, and the service felt rude overall. They should hire kinder people who are better suited to hospitality.
