The apartment itself was lovely, with a good refrigerator and showers, and we found Roots Experience, a lovely green street restaurant just down the road. But in hot weather the AC isn't up to the job. We arrived on a 39 degree day to a sauna, with the system not switched on beforehand. It was hard to use, and sorting things through What’s App was annoying. We arrived over the weekend when there was no maintenance staff. On Monday someone came while we were out and made it cooler. The bedrooms were okay with the doors shut, but the unit couldn't handle the large living area. Check-in uses a What’s App link, and you have to pay the city tax before they send the entry code. The kettle, toaster, and other appliances couldn't reach the power points because they were too high. There was an extension adaptor in a cupboard, but it would've made sense to leave it out. The second bedroom also has no storage. It would be okay to stay when the weather is more manageable.

OH MY GOD, such a huge, amazing place! The rooms are big, and tourist spots, stations, and food are all nearby. It comes with a fridge, dishwasher, stove, microwave, kitchen sink, and AC. The one thing I wasn't keen on was the little round chair. One of its legs was loose and it was broken, though thankfully it didn't collapse when I sat on it. Still, I loved the place!

We were on the second floor and could hear the people above walking around. It didn't sound like ordinary footsteps on a wood floor, more like they were jumping over our heads at night. Apart from that, the location was very nice, near Chiado. The apartment had two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchen.

They let us check in early when we arrived on Tuesday 3rd January because of my mobility issues, which I really appreciated. The apartment was airy and nicely presented. Beds were very comfortable, there was lots of closet space, and the showers had great pressure and temperature. The location was fantastic, close to the Time Out Market. We had only a brush and pan for cleaning, with no cleaning products. The managing agent's service felt impersonal. The listing said Netflix and Prime video were available, and both appeared on the TV, but we couldn't access them. We reported it more than twice and got no reply during our Tuesday-to-Friday stay. There were also crumbs or dirt under the living room settee and black mould in the master ensuite shower cubicle. It's a great property that could use better management. Next time I'd stay in an Airbnb, because I really value that personal touch.
