The apartment itself was very basic and didn’t look like the advertised photos. It needs modernisation and more considered interior design. The shower base was cracked and uneven, so it felt unstable underfoot and made a lot of noise. The location was a major disappointment too. The area felt run-down and unwelcoming, and especially in the evenings there were groups of men hanging around and people who appeared to be using drugs right outside. My female friend and I felt uncomfortable walking to and from the building, particularly because of the persistent staring. I think the owners should consider somewhere safer and more family-friendly, closer to what many visitors expect from Lisbon. I wouldn’t recommend staying here based on our experience.

Daily cleaning and being within a somewhat walkable distance of the main centre were about the only positives. The rooms themselves are objectively nice, but the bathroom smelled so strongly of sewage and mould that it made me gag every time. The floor smelled of pee too, probably from cross contact. The area was dirty, noisy, and smelled of pee, trash, and curry. It felt extremely unsafe. This was an appalling stay and ruined my Lisbon experience. As others have said, avoid it for your own sanity. If you can put up with all of that, then I guess it’s no issue.

We booked this place, but when we arrived we left as fast as we could. It really didn’t feel safe. Customer service told me it ranked among the safest cities in the world, which was a joke. I wish I’d taken a picture of the neighbourhood, but we were rushing to get away. I really can’t recommend staying here, especially for women or anyone travelling alone. Look somewhere safer.

The apartment itself is fine for the money, but the street made it impossible for us to sleep properly. Noise built up from around 12pm, peaked around 7pm, and carried on until after 1am. The takeaway kebab shops bring delivery drivers who fill the street end to end and talk loudly throughout the evening and night. When we did manage to sleep, it was very broken. My girlfriend was afraid to go outside on her own because the number of people around made the area feel unsafe. If you’re sensitive to noise or travelling as a woman alone, I’d stay well away from this place and the general area.

The room looked nothing like the pictures, and the customer service was horrible. I’d asked to cancel because I was arriving at 1 AM with a baby, but they refused, so I had no choice but to go. I checked out the same day. There were prostitutes and large groups of men hanging around, which wasn’t mentioned in the location description. Our driver waited until we’d safely entered the building because the surroundings felt so unsafe. At checkout, someone came with a cleaning lady to confirm we’d left, since the same place had already been booked again. I was told I’d get a refund for the unused nights. When I contacted the property, they apologized and said they couldn’t control public spaces around the building, so they wouldn’t refund me. There’s clearly a reason it’s marked non-refundable, and it feels like a scam. We paid almost €700, then switched to much better, safer, kid-friendly accommodation for only €450. Be careful, don’t book this place!
