Lisbon Silver Flower

We didn’t stay the night and won’t book again. The common areas seemed okay when we arrived, but the room was in deplorable condition, so we refused to sleep there. There was mould everywhere, cracked walls, and cheap wallpaper cut into pieces and stuck up with regular tape to hide humidity damage and mould. Some kind of insect had laid eggs in the wall corners, and the same black eggs were on the dirty sheets. The sheets also had bodily fluids and hairs, and the mattresses were stained. The armchairs were stained too.

The room had no television and the WiFi was very slow. The shared kitchen appliances mostly didn’t work, and coffee was provided only on the first day, though tea was free. The mattress had seen better days, and there was a sewer smell when we entered. Security worried me too. A stranger was inside the facility. When challenged, she pretended to be a guest and then fled.

Don’t go there. We asked by email whether the apartment had air conditioning because it mattered a lot to us and our little boy, as nights in Lisbon can be hot. The description said it did, and the host confirmed it. But there was no A/C, and Nuno (the host) admitted he had lied to us. Other guests had complained about it as well, and I didn’t get a repayment. It looks like a nice place, but it’s somewhere you shouldn’t stay.

It was clean and comfortable, and the location was really good. I hope I can come back.
