Lookout Lisbon Hostel

The location is fantastic, with a beautiful viewpoint right across the street and museums, shops, cafes and the river nearby. The basic rooms and bathrooms were simple but clean, and there was a nice shared area and kitchen. This was my favorite hostel of the ones I stayed in. The atmosphere was very convivial, and I had great conversations with the guests. I was there with my two kids, and they were welcome too. The staff were extremely friendly.

It's a friendly, clean place to meet people, and there's a great city viewpoint right outside, with lots of bars and restaurants close by. The three-level bunk beds can get pretty hot, especially in summer. Fans in the rooms would be nice.

After walking around all day, coming back here felt like heaven. It was so comfortable, like being at home, and I haven't had that feeling anywhere else. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The little balcony off the lounge was my favorite spot, with a real Lisbon vibe. You can cook in the kitchen, which is clean and well equipped. The bathrooms were spotless and had everything needed. There's free coffee and tea whenever you want it, and the beds are very comfortable, with firm mattresses that were great for my back. I never woke up with back pain.

The showers don't have dividers between them and the sinks, so you might come out naked while someone is washing their hands or brushing their teeth. I didn't mind it, though. There was a nice kitchen, space to hang clothes after washing, and the staff were very friendly. It was September and things were still quiet because of Covid. The charming building and view across the viewpoint added to the relaxed, family-like feel.
