The rooms were fantastic, unlike anything I've seen before, and the hotel is in a prime spot. Stephania was brilliant when I visited the confraria of Lisbon and recommended the Tokyo cocktail. The staff were all so helpful. I'll definitely be back.

The biggest problem was the floor-wide AC control. If one room wanted heat, everyone had to sleep in it. They switched it for us once, then put it back on heating within two hours, so it was 25 degrees all night. Neither of us slept for three nights straight. The bathroom exhaust didn't work either, which was especially unpleasant in such a tiny room, and the door kept jamming. Breakfast was mediocre, with little variety, and we had to keep asking at the counter for plates, cups and cutlery. Service elsewhere was poor too. Even with six suitcases, nobody helped us get our bags in or out. People at reception never greeted or acknowledged us when we passed. The room was very average, and there was no kettle, tea or coffee. We stayed three nights and ran into quite a few issues. I hope the hotel improves, but I'd approach this place with caution.

There are lots of restaurants and sights nearby, and the Metro is conveniently close. The hotel looks recently renovated, and our bedroom was spacious and modern. Outside noise barely came through the windows, and the automatic shades made it dark at night. Our particular room did have a tiny bathroom.

The moment I stepped back out onto the street, I felt hugely relieved. Right after checking in, I'd had a bad feeling and couldn't breathe properly. I took a quick shower, but the black walls around the shower and toilet made that suffocating feeling worse. I booked another hotel and checked out. The staff didn't seem concerned or surprised, just said okay, and didn't offer any help with my luggage. Don't choose this hotel.
