Madalena Orquídea Living

The biggest issue was the noise from the apartments above. We could hear every footstep, and our upstairs neighbors were awake at all hours. The apartment itself is modern, with a spacious living area, a good-sized fridge, strong air con, and effective block-out curtains. The lift is small, and there are a couple of steps to get into it, then a flight of stairs between the lift and your door. There’s just one towel per person for the stay, amenities are limited, and there’s no laundry in the building, so bear that in mind for a longer visit. The attached restaurant only serves dinner. I think it may have served breakfast before.

The apartment has a cool style and is good value, with a great location. The bathrooms are excellent, and the useful kitchen facilities are a high standard. Bedrooms are comfortable and roomy, with plenty of space for wardrobes and other things. Chic, carefully chosen art is spread around the building.

Our family of four had a lovely three-night stay in this beautiful, spacious apartment. It has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, and was clean throughout. The manager communicated very well. The location is great, and the Madalena tapas restaurant next door, which is associated with the apartment building, was wonderful too.

There’s an elevator in the building, though you do have a few extra stairs to climb. The apartment was clean, quiet, and practical, with nice decor, A/C in every room, and a good kitchen with everything needed to cook indoors. It’s spacious and right in the middle of everything. Great value for money.
