WARNING!!!!! I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel or area. On September 27, 2025, just after midnight, a suspicious man forced open the building's entrance and then broke through my room door, demanding money. I was asleep and woke when he came in. I screamed and called for help from the other guests on the second floor, and he fled right away. This is an apartment-style hotel with no reception, and only guests stay in the building. Staff eventually arrived and called the police, but some time had passed, nothing had been stolen, and I wasn't physically injured, so the police refused to come. The accommodation's response was unacceptable. They didn't arrange another hotel for me and told me to find one myself. They also said Booking.com would refund only a few days, not all six nights. The female owner, a woman named Filipa, never tried to meet me in person after it happened. In the end, she refused to meet me, refused a full refund, and didn't arrange a new hotel. Was this really the normal way to handle things in Lisbon? Even though I felt the hotel was at fault, I got no sense of sincerity or responsibility. Lisbon is supposed to be relatively safe, but where exactly? This was serious. Can it really be brushed off with just an apology? I absolutely don't recommend this hotel or area.

The hosts were very attentive and always quick to respond to requests. The ground-floor apartment had everything I needed and was comfortable, right in the heart of Baixa-Chiado in Lisbon.
