Check-in was quick, and staff were helpful when I needed help with the a/c. But the location is on a hill and didn't feel safe to me. The a/c was very slow, and there was none downstairs, though they provided a fan and an electric heater. Room 41 was on the ground floor, with a window facing the street, so we couldn't even open the curtain. We stayed three nights, and from the second day there was a foul smell from the toilet. I guess there might be a problem with the sewerage system. It was really unpleasant. The wifi was weak, and the bathroom only had hand soap. The two mattresses upstairs were so thin it felt like sleeping on a table, so I had to swap with the ones downstairs. Noise from outside and other guests was outrageous. It might be good value if there were four of us, but honestly, I'd only recommend it for young people.

The welcome and check-in were lovely, and there are wonderful views from the terrace. The place is spacious, has three bedrooms, is well equipped, and was surprisingly quiet. A few things to bear in mind: some people may find the bathrooms small, it could be cold in winter since the heating is portable rather than central, and it’s on the second floor up a steep hill, so not ideal if you have mobility issues. Minor drawbacks overall.

The service was really friendly and available almost 24/7. Rooms were clean, and there’s a nice dining room with a kitchen. It’s super central, with very good places about a 10-minute walk away. If you’re in Lisbon, you have to try ginja. It’s sold on the streets.
