Safestay Lisbon Bairro Alto

What stood out most were Micheal and Fanfan. They were so good at looking after us, and hosts like that are rare. The rooms were clean, and the common area felt warm and welcoming too. Best hostel I've ever stayed at. I'd happily pay more than twice as much to come back, and I definitely will.

On my first trip to Portugal, Michale and Araf made check-in fun and helped me feel much less nervous about being in a new country. The hostel is close to the city center, with the beach about 20 minutes away. I liked having the option of breakfast and all the excursions and tours available. My one suggestion is to add curtains around the beds, since people sometimes stay up late using their phones with the lights on. I'd come back.

A couple of things didn't go quite as we'd expected, but Michael and Fan Fan were there to help with absolutely anything. They made our trip, and the service was amazing. Thanks to both of them!

Mariana and FanFan were lovely hosts, and the location was great. We had a four-person room to ourselves, which worked out really well. It was clean, and the showers had fantastic hot water. The room was fine, though the placement of the outlets and lights, plus the lack of curtains, would've been more of an inconvenience if we'd shared it with other people.
