Lisbon is fabulous, but I wouldn't book this place again. The flat was very noisy until 4 in the morning, and the bathroom situation was awful. It was shared with four other parts of the building. If you got the number one, you had to cross the floor and use your key to enter the main apartment just to reach it. Getting in was a struggle, too. The owner gave us the wrong entrance code, leaving us waiting outside on the street for a long time. Once inside the house, we never received a code for the flat. This place isn't worth the money, and the owner was extremely rude. Better to book somewhere else.

Everyone was really nice, and we were able to get into our room hours before the official check-in time. It's a very nice hotel in a perfect spot in the city center. My only small complaint was that there was no heater in the room, so it got quite cold at night.

We were left without anywhere to stay in Portugal. I booked this guesthouse through Expedia, but it was very hard to find and there was no staff or management on site to help. The contact numbers didn't work. Expedia said the property would email me an access code, but it never arrived, and Expedia refused to relocate my partner and me. We gave the property 24 hours to reply. It still hadn't responded by the second day, when we could have stayed, so we lost three full days of the booking and had to find a hotel. The property has kept our money and refuses to acknowledge what happened.

Staff at the guesthouse were kind, and the place was very clean and close to tourist and historic sites. Cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops are all around it. The problem was the other guests using the shared areas. Their loud talking and laughing suddenly woke me up. I think the guesthouse should put up a warning sign asking people to follow the shared-space rules.
