SwissLisbon Guest House - Hostel

I was there for three months and had a great stay. The service was excellent, and the staff were always ready to help. Myrin at reception took especially good care of me.

It’s an older hostel than the photos make it look, and you shouldn’t expect luxuries if you can only pay for the basics. Still, at € 13,- a night, it was affordable, clean, and the people were friendly. Myrna at the servicedesk was really kind and helpful, doing so much of the work there. Respect to her.

The only real plus for me was the location, with a tram and bus stop just a few meters away. Inside, the place needs serious maintenance and better management. My room was tiny, nothing like the online photos, with mould, no air conditioning, and no soundproofing, so sleeping was difficult. The sloping ceiling was low enough that a tall person would probably hit their head. The bathrooms were shared, hot water was often missing, and there were no basic toiletries, which made showering inconvenient. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless things improve.

Really liked this hostel. The living room has a special Vipe for relaxing, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Tommy kept me company and gave me recommendations for Porto, and Abby had lovely energy while I worked. She helped a lot with my equipment. Thanks, everyone, see you soon!
