Turkish Style Hostel

It was really cheap compared with other places in lisbon, and although a bit run down, it worked perfectly well as a hostel. Our room was clean and spacious, with super comfy beds and nice linen. The staff were friendly and helpful, and gave us a brilliant fan because it was hot. Showers and bathrooms were cleaned regularly and had good pressure. Athar was a really nice man, friendly and funny, and let us overstay our welcome. He was truly hospitable.

People smoke in the bedrooms, so they smell bad. The beds weren't clean either. We found hairs in beds that were supposed to be fresh, and the sheets had cigarette burn holes. It was a dirty, run-down place overall. Luckily, we were only there one night as an emergency solution. Better avoid this shabby, unsanitary hostel.

I stayed a couple of nights with my friends. It was good, and the long-haired guy at reception, whose name I've forgotten, was funny and friendly. Just one thing, there was no lock on the washroom or toilet 😄
