There was plenty of room for the two of us, with a big bedroom and a large lounge and dining area. We had sea views, a separate kitchen, and two bathrooms, one with a shower over the bath and toilet, the other with a shower and toilet. Some updating is due, but everything worked and was clean.
A good choice if you like cliff walks, with several quiet sandy coves an easy walk from the hotel. The resort itself is peaceful, with little passing traffic. Our room was spacious, the facilities were very good, and the indoor pool is heated.
For a five-star hotel in such a great location, the service at the Belmondo bar and pool club was unacceptable. The food and snack selection was very poor, and I was told a debit card charge had to be at least 20 euros. The current manager, with a sleazy look, keeps up the underground atmosphere. Would I return? No, thanks.
The apartments are in a lovely spot and have generally been very good. But the maintenance has slipped over the last couple of years. I’d have rated the place 4.5 before, now it’s closer to 3.6. A shame. Please improve.
The apartment is really nice and well furnished, with everything you need for self-catering. There are several different beaches very close by, and guests can use the facilities at Pestana Viking.
