Studios by Aqua Natura Hotels

The rooftop jacuzzi was a treat, and the pool and sauna at the neighboring hotel were only a short walk away. We had a pleasant balcony for meals, with a small view of the ocean. It was quiet, and we could easily walk to everything around us. There are lots of restaurants to choose from and a promenade to explore. A great place to stay in Porto moniz, close to all the things you need and want.

We spent a week at the hotel in November 2025 and really enjoyed it. The rooms were clean, the food was amazing, and the staff were just as wonderful. Thank you all for the hard work, kindness, and help. We’d recommend staying here :)

The room was decent, but our supposed “ocean view” mostly looked onto the parking lot, with the sea far off in the distance. Twice on separate nights, an alarm rang in the hallway for several minutes. We weren’t told whether it was a drill, an error, or a malfunction. The elevator also seemed close to falling apart. Aqua Hotels has at least three properties in Porto Moniz, and the way the differences are communicated feels vague and unclear. Aqua Hotels Studio is separate from the others, so even breakfast means crossing the street. Breakfast was very basic, though the ocean view was a nice touch. The pools and spa were effectively out of reach for us too, since they were in another building across the road. The information gives the impression that breakfast and a pool are on site, but that isn’t the case here. With the lack of transparency, the misleading communication, the nighttime alarms, and the poor experience overall, I’d rate this place 2 out of 5.

The studio apartments are big and have nice balconies, making this a great place to stay in Porto Moniz. They offer tickets for the natural pools, access to spa facilities at nearby partner hotels, and discounts at their restaurants. We ate at those restaurants and liked them all.
