The location, service, and rooms or apartment deserve a solid 5 from me, but the lack of AC was a major problem. In Portugal’s warmer climate, a way to cool down is a must. The top apartment had AC, but its two smaller rooms trapped the heat with no good way to cool them. The first-floor apartment had no AC either, and the fans only pushed very warm air around, making it nearly unbearable. The shower-head mount was broken, which made showering a hassle too. They should check the inventory, including broken or moldy fixtures and appliances. Some things need to be ready when you arrive, and cooling the place matters.

The Wi-Fi was really good, and there was nothing I could complain about overall. The cozy apartment had a well-equipped kitchen, and my room’s balcony looked onto the quiet side of the building. The mattress and pillow weren’t very comfortable, but I could live with that. A supermarket was right across the street, and the center and attractions were all within walking distance.

The owners were welcoming and attentive to guests. This clean, cosy apartment had a nice balcony overlooking a garden and was well equipped. It’s within walking distance of central old Porto and close to transport.

We could easily get to the town center or use the metro from this garden apartment. The accommodation was just right, and our hosts gave us a warm welcome to both their place and their city. We’d definitely return!
