Hannah's Studios

The location worked perfectly for us, with the train station just down the street and plenty of good restaurants around. We had a comfortable room 4, up a few flights of stairs. There was a small, well-equipped kitchen, but it was tucked inside a cabinet or closet, and we only found it on the morning we checked out. If you need anything, you're supposed to contact the staff a day ahead. Keep that in mind, especially if you're running low on something important like toilet paper.

Ana made things easy from the start, with clear directions, straightforward check-in, quick WhatsApp replies, and restaurant tips that led us to a memorable meal. It wasn't kind to my wallet, but was worth every euro. She also let us store our bags before check-in and after checkout, which was really useful with awkward flight times. The studio was a surprisingly spacious base for my too-short stay, with modern furnishings and lots of natural light. I stayed in Studio 5 on the top floor. The only thing that took away a star for me was the narrow staircase. The kitchen was cleverly hidden in a cabinet, and I didn't find it until day two. It had a coffee maker, kettle, microwave, fridge, and sandwich toaster. I was only there one night, so didn't get to use them. Hannah's Studios is just 50 meters from Sao Bento metro station, which is different from the famous train station across the street. The location made it easy to get around Oporto. Everything was only a few steps away, which was especially helpful while hauling our two 20 kg suitcases from the airport on a sunny day. Our room was roomy, with a small balcony facing the street. Closing the windows cut out much of the noise. I asked for a toaster and got what looked like a new toasted sandwich maker instead. I appreciated the effort, and we used it to make toasted sandwiches most days, which helped keep costs down. Bars, restaurants, and takeaways are all within 100 yards, and the metro and railway station are right beside the place. The railway station is worth a quick look too. Five stars, and I'd recommend it! 👍

We spent two nights here and had a really nice stay. The host was lovely and arranged a late-night check-in without any trouble. The rooms were spacious and clean, while the bathrooms were small but adequate. The beds aren't very big, so it can feel a bit tight. It's right in the city center, with lots of nice places to eat nearby.
