Hotel Aliados

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast came with the stay. It was typical food and enjoyable. The room was rather aged, but fine. The location and price for the night were great. I’d hoped to stay three nights, but the room wasn’t available for the full stay, so I had to switch hotels across the street. At least I didn’t have to move my luggage far. One thing to know: there’s a short flight of stairs from the street to the elevator on the first floor, so you’ll need to carry your bags up.

The location is awesome, and the historic building has a really cool atmosphere. Everything was very clean, including the surfaces the staff were constantly wiping down. Breakfast was fresh, and the staff were so helpful and kind. We arrived at the last minute and were worried about hallway noise. The hostess moved us to a quieter room.

Our king room was fantastic and very quiet, so we slept well. It had no view, though, as it looked onto an interior space behind other buildings. The hotel’s historic character is hard to miss: reception is on the second floor, and the bedrooms are spread around the building. The staff were attentive and helped with whatever they could. The mattress was too hard for me. A memory foam topper might be cheaper than replacing the mattresses. The carpet on the stairs also needs refurbishing. Breakfast didn’t have much variety, though it is a three star hotel.

The best part is the location. We could walk to the city’s main sights. Breakfast was good, too. The hotel and rooms are a bit old, and the floor creaks when you walk. My room’s bathroom was very small.
