We arranged a surprise birthday trip for our daughter ahead of time, and the team went above and beyond to make it happen. Nádia and everyone else were kind, patient, and thoughtful, coordinating everything smoothly and even preparing a gift for her. It made the trip a special memory for us. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, with a lovely city view, and the location made exploring on foot easy. We also loved the restaurant, and every staff member was warm and welcoming.

We had a great two-night stay while touring Portugal for two weeks. The hotel is well placed for getting around on foot: 10-15 minutes to most things, 3-4 minutes to the train station, about 10 minutes down to the water, and just 3-4 minutes to the bridge with a spectacular view over the waterfront. The lobby was beautiful and the staff helpful. Before arriving, I emailed for recommendations and got useful suggestions. Both restaurants were fantastic. Our queen room was clean and modern, but small, so opening two suitcases left little room to move. That was fine since we were out most of the time. Drivers can use an underground lot about a seven-minute walk away. The car felt safe, and guests get a discount. Drop your bags off at check-in first, because the lot is downhill and the walk back with luggage would be uphill.

We appreciated the room upgrade to a larger city-view room, especially for just one night, and the pastries de nata at the welcome corner. The boutique hotel is next to Porto’s main cathedral. Breakfast was average, with limited choice and only a few savory items among lots of pastries. The reception staff felt impersonal, not especially warm or smiley, though there was nothing to complain about; the breakfast staff were kind and lovely. The carpet in the room and corridor smelled. I was glad to have the steamer, Nespresso cups, and Nespresso machine in the room.

The staff made our stay, especially Tanja at reception and Maria in the breakfast area, who were both so friendly. When we noticed we’d booked two double beds, they offered to have housekeeping push them together. They also helped us get tickets for the 6-bridge boat tour, and their dinner suggestion was some of the best food we’ve ever had. The hotel is in a beautiful, scenic part of Porto, close to the river, shopping, and restaurants. There’s no hotel parking, but a nearby garage has plenty of spaces and offers a discount voucher, so don’t let that put you off staying here. We loved it.
