We’ve been coming to this home with our children every year for the past seven years, and feel so lucky to have this authentic Portuguese experience in such a beautiful region. The village and the family hosting us are wonderful. We love it here and hope anyone thinking of choosing Casas da Encosta will have the same experience.

A fantastic area for hiking and enjoying nature. The house itself is amazing, with lovely interiors and good equipment.

The house is lovely and very comfortable, and the whole place is so quiet. When we arrived, they’d left us jams, liqueurs and some good country bread. Such a nice touch.

A peaceful, rustic house that’s pleasant and has plenty of amenities, with heating and a good setting for relaxing. The owner was helpful, even from a distance. They left us a welcome basket with liqueurs, bread and sweets, though there was no coffee machine.
