The estate has the best views, and I especially love the colors in autumn. We stayed at Teoria Guesthouse, a lovely family-run place to sleep in what I think is the world’s most wonderful wine region. António and Rosa were wonderfully hospitable.
The Douro valley fills your view wherever you are, and the atmosphere is so peaceful. I fell for the Touriga Nacional, one of the house’s great wines. They’re dog-friendly too, so bring your best friend along.
The olive oil was great, and the wine tasting was such a lovely experience. Thank you so much, it was fantastic!
We spent our days taking it easy at the accommodation and enjoying its wonderful pool. The view over the Douro terraces is fantastic, and our hosts were incredibly kind and always available.
Such a lovely, amazing place right in the heart of the Douro. 5 stars. Really, really recommend it.
