We had a great view, and the house itself is beautiful. It's close to several Quintas, so it's a lovely base for visiting the Douro. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast was quite decent too.

The house has an old character and sits right in the center of town, with a few restaurants nearby that are easy to reach on foot. There's a small kitchen, and the bar is open for guests to use for tea or coffee.

We were able to use the large living room and the billiard room, which made this place feel really special. The breakfast was worthy of a superb hotel, and the advice and service were top-notch. The owner gave us a very warm welcome and showed us around his charming, very typical house. A family lives there and rents out the upstairs rooms, each with a private bathroom. It was a wonderful surprise. Parking is available on the property, and I'd highly recommend staying here if you're in the area.

The house is always so well looked after and clean, and breakfast is good. We feel welcome every time we come to this typical family home. The pool and billiard room are a real bonus 😍 We always leave missing the place and hoping we can come back soon.

The house is so beautiful, welcoming, and full of character, a lovely place for a weekend or even a holiday. My congratulations to Sr. Azevedo, the owner of Casa Brasão, on the excellent restoration and upkeep. Laurinda was so warm and friendly, showing us around from the moment we arrived. Everything was clean and tidy, and breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety. There's a saltwater pool and private parking. I highly recommend visiting and staying here!
