The house has a lot of potential for summer and the in-between seasons, such as May and September or October. Its electrical supply is very limited, probably because the place is used little in winter. With the oil heaters on, they can’t be set above level 1 if you want to use anything else. In a harsher winter like 2026, that’s a serious drawback. The main building’s bathroom is the biggest issue and will take renovation work to fix. It isn’t enough for the number of guests the house can accommodate, with five single beds and two double beds. There’s no good way for steam to escape, so humidity builds up until everything gets soaked. There’s also no shower holder or electrical outlet. The building is clearly designed for holidays, and perhaps as a result, its maintenance isn’t ideal.

It’s a very peaceful spot with lovely scenery. The main house has three bedrooms and room for nine, but only one bathroom, with no shower holder or electrical outlet for a hair dryer. There is another bathroom outside the main house, which isn’t very practical. The bath towels were clean but quite worn, and there were lots of cobwebs on the windows. In the kitchen, the dish sponges should probably be replaced more often. We found dirty dishes already in the dishwasher. The internet signal was very weak, and we couldn’t watch TV. More attention to some of these details would really improve the place.

We had a really relaxing few days here, especially with the river view, clean pool and barbecue. The living room and kitchen stayed cool even though it was 30º, and there’s space for 3-4 families with kids. It’s a good place to get away from everyday technology: there’s cable TV, but no wifi, and mobile data is limited because reception is weak.

The scenery is lovely and the pool is wonderful. The place has everything going for it, and sharing it with good friends made for some of the best days of our lives.

The abandoned raft in front of the house looks bad. People using the house also need to get better at handling rubbish and recycling.
