The room kept to the villa’s 1928 style and didn’t have a TV. Breakfast was okay, with a fried egg cooked to order. The villa itself is beautiful, full of interesting details, and sits at the edge of the small town, surrounded by a big garden and pool. The housekeeper gave us a cheerful welcome. I don’t speak Portuguese and she speaks little English, but we managed to communicate well with Google Translate.

The interior is wonderful, and the hosts are super friendly. It’s a little gem in a remote village, with an old-fashioned feel that suits the place perfectly.

A marvelous estate. Our hostess Alexandra looked after us in a really pleasant way and shared the fascinating history of the house and the owner’s family.

Such a lovely place to stay in a small village. The rooms are beautiful, the lady of the house is so nice, and breakfast with local fruit was very good. One of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed. Super!!
