Domes Lake Algarve and Residences

The place felt calm and everything ran smoothly, right down to the excellent housekeeping and all the little details. We had a wonderful stay, and the Guest Relations team made it extra special with great service, a fantastic deal and thoughtful gifts. Rita and Esther, along with the gentleman in the lounge, were especially warm, and Mona stood out among a fantastic restaurant team. This really is a five-star resort where staff seem to care and nothing feels like too much trouble. If you have a question or concern, speak with the team. The indoor pool was colder than we'd want for a spa pool, and a couple of the jets and some ceiling lights weren't working. At breakfast, coffee comes in flasks at the table, so it can be lukewarm and refills sometimes take a while. Our in-room tea and coffee supplies also weren't topped up during our three days. Even with those snags, this was our third stay at Domes Lake and we still think it's an excellent hotel. It's just outside the marina, an easy walk from there and to the beach, with plenty of free parking. Rooms are well equipped, many overlooking the lovely grounds, lake and surrounding boardwalk. Breakfast has a huge buffet, and dinner offers either à la carte or a small set menu with some packages. The food was very good on this visit, and we'd happily recommend the hotel.

Everyone we met was welcoming, friendly and helpful, which made the hospitality feel top notch. There are plenty of places to eat at the resort, a lovely bar, and even more choices around the busy marina next door. The facilities cover just about everything, from the spa and gym to sports, several pools, a little man-made beach pool and a saltwater lake. The huge, beautiful real beach is only a few minutes on foot. A great fit for solo guests, couples or families.

The staff were so kind and made us feel at ease, and we'd love to come back. My wife and children were very happy here. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, and there was live music on a few days. The children enjoyed the outdoor maze, playground and sports area. We all loved the food, especially the buffet at Gustatio, and the bar had great drinks. The pool and spa were excellent, with the indoor pool giving the kids a nice place to play. We also enjoyed walking outside and by the beach. It was a lovely experience for the whole family.
