DOHA CENTRAL PLAZA HOTEL by IHG

For me in Room 302, Rashmi made dining easier because she understood that I’m vegetarian and helped me find good vegetarian food. She kept orders accurate and on time, communicated clearly, and paid attention to what guests needed. Even when things were busy, she stayed calm and friendly, and made people feel welcome. She takes pride in her work and is a dependable colleague. A real credit to the F&B team.

The room was decent, with a clean bathroom and very effective air conditioning, though it felt dim and could use better lighting. Staff were courteous and helpful, and breakfast offered a reasonable range, but vegan and vegetarian guests might find the selection limited. The hotel is only a 3-4 minute walk from a metro station and is well placed for major Doha attractions. I stayed three nights with my parents after booking through the Visit Qatar portal for around 920 QAR (approximately 250 USD / 23K INR). Breakfast and VOA for Indian nationals were included, which made it a great deal. We had a comfortable, pleasant stay, and I’d recommend it to visitors to Doha.

Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of hot and cold choices, and the staff were welcoming. While I was working in Doha, I had a very pleasant stay. My room was clean, if a little tired, and housekeeping made the bed and replenished the water every day.

The suite was meant for two adults and a child, but it wasn’t suitable for us, and the front desk couldn’t provide bedding because the hotel was fully booked. At several hundred dollars a night, I expected to sleep comfortably, and that didn’t happen here. The place felt very outdated and had a musty smell throughout. I’m giving it two stars because that feels fair, though I didn’t want to be too harsh.
